A sincere thank you from deep within my heart to Sandy and all the members. To Sandy for her honest and continued support. I have been a member of LLRG for only a short while but Sandy has truly made it a very pleasant Guild to belong to. To all the members for acknowledging the dedication and love that goes into each and every Angel of mine, by voting for me. You have made me very proud and I am honored to be counted amongst the Charter members of LLRG.
My family and I arrived in Australia in November 2002 from South Africa. My two older children, Candice 21 and Cody 17, are at University and my youngest little girl, Courtney 6, will be in Year 2 in 2008. It was when Courtney started school that I simply had to find something to fill the long lonely hours. I started out making doll dresses and from there moved on to making outfits for Reborn Babies. But alas, I had to try to create these little Angel Babies. My first Angel was reborn in March 2006 and I have since never looked back.
There is really no single aspect of Reborning that I can call my favorite. The painting and creating of these Angel faces are very personal and is a true reflection of what lies within. You can not help but work with love, integrity and absolute devotion.
Reborning is the single most fulfilling art form I have ever had the pleasure of being part of. Through my Angels I have met the most amazing people. I’ve shared life experiences, both good and bad. The Good Lord lead me to discover this wonderful talent at a later stage in my life so that I would fully appreciate it and truly enjoy sharing it with others.
I know that I will continue to mature in this art form with help and support from my peers.
To my family, thank you for your amazing support and encouragement. For allowing me to take all the time I need to grow, both as a person and as a Reborn Artist.
