Last year I had the honour of being voted February's artist of the month, so now to be voted as 2007's September featured artist is more than I could ever wish for. Thank you to all my fellow members at LLRG for their wonderful help, support and above all, friendship.

I have loved and collected baby dolls, since my early childhood. Even back then I would try to make my dolls look more life like and I could never understand why my Mother didn't approve of me trimming their hair or giving them new eyebrows.
Nowadays, I live happily in North Wales with my husband and three grown up children. I have been reborning dolls for several years, ever since a friend showed me a reborn doll she'd bought from America. It's been a pure learning curve ever since and one I have enjoyed every second of. What started out as an enjoyable hobby selling my babies to friends, relatives and at Craft Fares has, for the last three and a half years, become my sole and full time occupation.
Luckily, I come from an art background and have always been able to draw and paint, portraiture being my favourite. I am also a fully qualified hair stylist. Both of these aspects have helped me enormously with the skills involved in Reborning a doll to the point where it actually looks like a real life baby. My love of dolls is what gives me the dedication and attention to detail necessary for me to produce a baby of the highest standards and quality available.
If I am not 100% happy with the end result I wouldn't expect anyone else to be either.
My dolls have sold to collectors worldwide. Through this most rewarding of Arts I have been so truly humbled and touched by many a heartfelt email, I have made some fabulous and dear friends all for which I will remain eternally grateful.
